ROSY AUGER

Common in sand deeper than 180 feet.  Glossy rose with straight-sided whorls and keeled axial ribs with flat spiral cords, subsutural band of punctures.  Attains 1 inch., 25mm.   Endemic to Hawaii.  Formerly known as Terebra rosacea.
