SHINY AUGER

Uncommon at scuba depths.  Shell slender & glossy, gray or cream with weak, widely-spaced ribs, subsutural band of punctures, aperture narrow.  Attains 1.9 inches, 47mm.  South Africa to Hawaii and French Polynesia.  Formerly known as Hastula nitida.
