SNAPPING SHRIMP
Snapping shrimp are
abundant under rocks and in reef crevices but rarely seen. They
use the enlarged claw for communication, producing a loud pop. A
crackling sound like deep frying is the combined sound of many shrimp.
Attains 1.5 inch.
