 HENSHAW'S SHORE CRAB

Locally common under stones along the water's edge of sheltered bays.  The carapace has microscopic pits whereas Cyclograpsus granulosus has tiny raised granules; both have 6 white spots.  Carapace width attains 3/4 inch.  Endemic to Hawai'i.
