STRIPED or ORIENTAL BONITO

Rare in Hawaii and most of the Indo-Pacific, more
common in subtropical waters of North America south to Peru. Found
in schools with other small tuna species. Body angular rather than
elliptic, mouth large with prominent conical teeth, back with long wavy
lines, unmarked below. Attains 40 inches but normally half that. |
