BLACKFIN CHROMIS

Very common in
small aggregations feeding upon zooplankton just
above the reef at scuba depths. The lower lobe of the tail and anal
fin is black. Pycnochromis acares
has a yellow tail and is rarely seen in Hawai'i. Attains 2.5 inches.
Vietnam to Japan, Hawai'i, and Pitcairn. Formerly known as
Chromis vanderbilti. |
