| Pairs are uncommon on reefs to 200 feet. Feeds upon coral polyps, small invertebrates,
and filamentous
algae. Attains 8 inches. Indonesia to Japan and French
Polynesia, including Hawai'i. Replaced by yellow Chaetodon
interruptus in the Indian Ocean. |
