Pairs occur on coral reefs to 100 feet, but rare in Hawai'i and most likely to be seen around Maui and the island of Hawai'i.  Grazes upon coral polyps.  Attains 7 inches.  Okinawa to Australia, Hawai'i, and the Marquesas.
