This blenny feeds by darting at unwary fishes to nip off scales and skin.  It is common on reefs at any depth.  Distinctive black diagonal line edged by blue behind eye.  The body is tallest behind the head with a curved outline unlike the slender Bicolor Fangblenny.  Attains 4 inches.  Indonesia to Japan, Micronesia, and Fiji.
