AGARICIA CACTUS CORAL

Uncommon on exposed reefs.  Flat or domed colonies with straight or sinuous valleys 1.5 inch wide with a double row of polyps, thick fleshy ridges with narrow central groove, brown, red or green with contrasting valleys.  Red Sea to Japan and Tonga.  Formerly known as Symphyllia agaricia.
