YELLOW CABBAGE, or SCROLL CORAL
|
Fairly common on fringing reefs and lagoon patch
reefs. Primarily horizontal plates with widely
spaced calices 2.5mm in diameter, fluorescent green over brown base with
bright yellow margins.
Forms a species complex with Turbinaria
mesenterina, which largely differs in color. Red Sea to the
Society Islands, excluding Hawaii.
