Phylum Platyhelminthes
Flatworms
|
These beautiful animals are only a few cells thick and are very
simple. They absorb oxygen through the skin, lack a complex
nervous system, and food and waste is exchanged at the mouth.
Despite this flatworms are active carnivores that prey upon small
invertebrates.
