Pairs inhabit shallow reefs.  Thick body distinguishes it from flattened look-alikes including Goniobranchus kuniei.  Attains 3 inches.  Indonesia east to Japan & the Society Islands, excluding Hawaii.  Formerly known as Risbecia tryoni.
