WARTY SLUG

Common air-breathing slug that inhabits the splash zone of rocky coasts.  Nearly black in Hawaii while animals elsewhere may be greenish brown.  Exudes poisonous mucus but eaten in Okinawa after cooking.  Attains at least 2 inches.  Hawaii & the Indo-Pacific.  Formerly known as Onchidium verruculatum.
