PHEASANT
| Common on frondose algae,
especially Padina spp., at any depth. The fragile shell has a
variable pattern of white on red or olive, and the columella is smooth. Attains
0.2 inch, 6mm.
East Africa to Japan, Hawaii, and the Cook Islands. Formerly known
as Tricolia variabilis. |
