Uncommon in sand & rubble next to Lobe Coral upon which it feeds at night.  Color variable, protoconch white, Psilaxis oxytropis has a brown protoconch with a white spot.  Attains diameter of 1 inch.  Hawaii, Indo-Pacific & Tropical Eastern Pacific.  Formerly known as Philippia radiata.
