Locally common in the middle reaches of pristine streams attached to boulders.  Threatened with extinction due to diversion of stream waters and construction of concrete stream banks.  Shell bumpy with white underside.  Attains 2 inches.  Endemic to Hawaii.  Formerly known as Neritina granosa.
