PEAR-SHAPED or WHITE MOON SNAIL

Uncommon in sand at any depth.  Shell relatively light, umbilicus filled, operculum transparent brown, extended animal much larger than shell.  Attains 2 inches.  Hawaii & the Indo-West Pacific.  Formerly known as Polinices tumidus.
