SHIELD LIMPET
| Occurs on rocks in the intertidal zone where it is protected from
waves. Shell white with short brown markings, apex high and centered, interior with brown
center. Attains nearly 2 inches.
Alaska to Central California. Formerly known as Collisella
pelta and
Acmaea pelta. |
