FALSE or DIVERSE ABALONE   Tokobushi-awabi

Occurs on rocks in shallow water.  Slipper-like, with fine concentric ridges, color variable, with 5 to 7 holes.  Attains 4 inches.  Japan to Indonesia, other subspecies occur south to Australia and the Andaman Sea.
