TILED HOOF SHELL
| Common in groups on rocks in shallow water. Subcircular with
radiating ribs granulated by spiral threads, periostracum hair sparse,
apex slightly posterior of center. Attains 1/2 inch. Endemic
to Hawaii. Formerly known as Hipponix imbricatus. |
