Shell thick, heavily encrusted with coralline algae, aperture pale orange.
Shape of spines and color varies across the range. Attains 4 inches,
106mm. Red Sea to Hawaii and French Polynesia. Formerly known as Thais armigera
and Reishia armigera. |
