POROUS COWRY

Uncommon in dead coral from 10 to 50 feet.  Base is light purple with white teeth, mature shells develop a white glaze on the dorsal surface.  Attains 3/4 inch.  East Africa to Okinawa, Hawaii, and French Polynesia.
