LYNX COWRY

Rare in Hawaii under rocks in shallow water, but common throughout the Indo-Pacific.  Heavy shell with an abruptly-flattened base and orange teeth, subadults are white reticulated with orange.  Attains 3.5 inches, 90 mm.  Red Sea to Okinawa, Hawaii, and the Tuamotus.  Formerly known as Cypraea lynx.
