MACULATED DWARF TRITON

Rarely found in Hawaii in sand under rocks deeper than 60 feet, uncommon elsewhere.  Spiral and axial keels form conical peaks where they intersect, spire straight, broad parietal shield with fringed edge.  Attains 4.6 inches, 116 mm.  East Africa to Okinawa, Micronesia, Fiji, and Hawaii.
