HEART URCHIN

Live animals bury themselves in sand and are rarely seen but old tests are common.  Preyed upon by rays and helmet snails.  This species has a prominent posterior dorsal crest.  Attains 8 inches.  East Africa to Japan, Hawaii, and Pitcairn.
