Monterey Bay, California

Occasionally seen along windward shores during strong winds.  Short tentacles are sticky and extend below the buoyant disc.  Delivers a mild sting.  Attains length of 4 inches, usually less than half in Hawaii.  Worldwide in warm and temperate seas.
