 GOLDRING SURGEONFISH        kole

Common among Finger Coral at any depth.  Juveniles greenish yellow with blue markings and faint dark stripes.  Feeds upon small crustaceans.  An excellent food fish but frequently implicated in cases of ciguatera poisoning.  Attains 9.5 inches.  Endemic to Hawaii.
