THOMPSON'S SURGEONFISH

Fairly common in deep water exposed to
current where it feeds upon zooplankton. Blue-gray or gray-brown
with black spots at posterior base of dorsal fin and pectoral fin.
Hawaiian fish lack a white tail as is typical elsewhere. Attains 10.5 inches. Hawaii & the Indo-Pacific. |
