BLUELINED SURGEONFISH

A solitary species common on shallow reefs where it feeds upon algae. Base color changes at will from light brown to almost black, with or without a light band at the base of the tail, neon blue fin margins and wavy blue lines on the body, and a pair of black spots at the base of the dorsal and anal fin.
Attains 10 inches. Micronesia, Hawai'i and French Polynesia. |
