Yellow to blue bar on rear third of male is distinctive.
Females have a tapering head and body pattern continues onto the
caudal peduncle, compared to
Chlorurus bleekeri which is otherwise is very similar. Attains 15 inches.
Indonesia to Japan, east to French Polynesia, excluding Hawai'i. |
