ARCEYE HAWKFISH        piliko‘a

Abundant on Cauliflower and Antler Coral at scuba depths.  Two forms exist, the light brown form with a broad white stripe is common while the entirely reddish-brown form is uncommon, both have the distinctive multicolored arc around the eye.  Attains 5.5 inches.  Hawai‘i & the Indo-Pacific.
