STIMPSON'S STREAM GOBY        'o'opu nopili

Locally abundant in swift clear streams of the larger islands but rare on O'ahu.  Drab with numerous dark bars or blotches, nuptial males displaying black and white stripes.  Attains 7 inches.  Endemic to Hawai'i.
