Inhabits burrows with the commensal shrimp Alpheus on silty sand and rubble in lagoons.  Blotchy with blue speckles and red submarginal band on dorsal fins.  Attains 3.25 inches.  Thailand to Okinawa, Micronesia, and the Solomon Islands.
