Uncommon in
crevices at scuba depths. Tapering yellowish-green head with curved jaws,
body gray with wide brown bars becoming obscure in large adults, and a
white fin margin. Attains 3 feet. Hawai‘i and the Indo-Pacific.
Formerly known as Gymnothorax petelli.
