Common in shallow habitats where it cultivates a
patch or filamentous algae. An active territorial species, adults
are gray with a dark spot on the pectoral fin base and caudal peduncle,
and a yellow mark above the eye. Attains 5 inches. Bermuda
& Florida to Venezuela & the Gulf of Mexico. |
