GREAT BARRACUDA    KAKU    Oni-Kamasu

Locally common in coastal waters from estuaries to open water.  Feeds upon fishes.  Atlantic fish lack black on the tail.  An excellent food fish but may cause ciguatera poisoning.  Attains at least 6 feet & 100 pounds.  Warm seas worldwide excluding the Eastern Pacific.
