RASP MONTIPORA

Locally common reefs in clear water.  Variable, encrusting, massive, or plate-like, color variable.  Corallites slightly exsert and surrounded by partially fused papillae, flat areas crowded with many small papillae of various length.  Indo-Pacific excluding Hawaii.
